CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

I am a proud Army wife and mother to 2 rambunctious and precious little boys. Prior to being a mom, I taught high school history and coached various athletic teams for around 8 years. While I have always been athletic and involved in sports, my true journey to health and fitness began after the birth of my 2 boys (2 babies in 2 years will do that to you). I wanted to make sure I always had enough energy and strength to play with them all day, everyday. I started Crossfit in 2007 and have been hooked ever since, achieving my Crossfit Level 1 Trainer Certification in 2017. I currently serve as manager for Crossfit Dwala in Marietta, GA. In addition, I decided to get my nutrition coaching certifications through Eat to Perform and the National Academy of Sports Medicine because I truly believe nutrition is imperative to our performance and lifestyle goals. I love helping people become the best versions of themselves. God has truly blessed me as a mom, a wife and an athlete and my passion is to serve others through helping them make the same positive life changes that I did as they break through whatever is holding them back and commit to a sustainable and attainable lifelong journey in health and wellness.

Jana Roman

ETP Certified Performance Nutrition Coach

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

Hey everyone! I’m Jana, devoted Army Wife, mom to four kiddos, and I love to serve others and volunteer.  I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and I like to say when I grow up I want to teach Kindergarten.  I have always enjoyed working out whether it be fitness Zumba, spin, CrossFit, running, etc.  A little about me, I struggled with negative self-image and eating disorders much of my young adult life.  I USED to think the purpose of exercise and eating was to lose weight and be a skinnier version of myself.  It was not until the last few years that God changed my heart and now I view my nutrition and exercise as a way to be a healthier version of me.  I have since learned how to fuel my body to perform in the gym and life in general.  When my heart was changed and my lifestyle and nutrition changed, I could lift heavier in the gym, run faster and longer, take care of my kids, have energy for my family, and be a better wife.  I received my Crossfit Level 1 Trainer Certification as well as my Eat to Perform Nutrition Coach Certification and have coached a FABULOUS group of women in the 2017 year.  I am excited to come alongside you and encourage you to reach your goals in fitness and health.  There are no gimmicks or diets to follow, what I love about this program Is we will teach you how to fuel your body and you can sustain this lifestyle forever.  I look forward to working with you! .

Registered and Licensed Dietitian Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Georgia

MS is Health Sciences with a concentration in Nutrition from Georgia State University

Registered and Licensed Dietitian

Hi! My name is Lauren Cadranel, and I knew I wanted to be a Registered Dietitian since I was 11 years old.  When I was a young girl, a professional nutritionist helped me lose 20 pounds and dramatically improve my self-esteem. That experience inspired me and changed the course of my life. More important, it taught me the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle and sparked a strong desire to pursue a career in dietetics with the hope of having the same positive impact on others.

I graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Family and Consumer Sciences with a degree in Dietetics (GO DAWGS!).  I also obtained my Masters of Science degree with a concentration in Nutrition from Georgia State University where I worked under one of the country’s foremost sports Dietitians, Dr. Dan Benardot, in the Georgia State Lab for Elite Sports Nutrition, assessing and counseling the university’s athletes and the Atlanta Falcons football players. I then went on to complete my Dietetic Internship studies and rotations through Priority Nutrition Care and am a Nationally Registered Dietitian licensed in the State of Georgia.

I am passionate about all areas of nutrition from counselling adolescents on childhood obesity and maximizing athlete’s personal performances to improving the lives of diabetic and cardiovascular patients though education and better dietary habits. In addition to nutrition, I enjoy spending time with family and our dog Sadie, CrossFit training, dance, culinary arts, football, and world travel.  I would love to hear from you and help you become the best version of yourself!

Maria Hock

Registered and Licensed Dietitian

Hi, I am Maria Hock and I am wife and a mother of two girls (10&15). I was born and raised in Guatemala and moved to Atlanta in 1997 to finish my nutrition studies. I graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and completed my dietetic Internship at Emory University. Being a registered dietitian has not only served me in helping others achieve their nutrition goals, but has helped my family and myself have a healthy relationship with food. I have worked in many fields of nutrition over the years, including dialysis, diabetes, cardiovascular and weight loss. It has been so rewarding to see how nutrition alone can change the course of disease and improve a person’s health significantly. On the personal side, I particularly enjoy teaching my kids about developing healthy eating habits and about knowing how nutrition impacts their life. I have watched my children perform better in their sports because of optimal nutrition. Growing up in a very active family helped me develop a passion for fitness and anyone that has known me for a while knows that I’m always game for trying something new- from spin class, to boxing, pilates, yoga and crossfit. I have successfully completed 3 full marathons, countless half marathons, 2 half ironman triathlons and many other races that have challenged my body and mind.  I have learned so much about how different nutrition approaches are necessary depending on the sport you perform. I am excited to help you make those life changes that will help you achieve your personal health and fitness goals, wether its weight loss, increase lean mass and/or fuel up properly for a specific sport. Let’s get started in taking action, creating healthy habits and ultimately maintain consistency with your progress!

Registered and Licensed Dietitian

M.S. Clinical Nutrition

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

Hello! I’m Kaylan Coker and I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Growing up I was always active. I dabbled in dance, softball, and gymnastics but never considered myself to be an athlete. In 2012, I walked into a Crossfit box having no clue what to expect and the first introductory WOD changed the course of my life as I knew it.  I instantly fell in love with the close comradery of CrossFit along with learning challenging new skills. A year later, I completed my CrossFit Level 1 Certification and began coaching. Finally finding my niche in CrossFit, I finally saw myself as an athlete and quickly realized that the food I ate was just as important as the training… if not more! Inspired, I decided to go back to school for a second career to become Registered Dietitian and earn my Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition. I have an intimate understanding that total health is more than just working out and is a combination of good nutrition and self-care. I believe that food is not only fuel but is also what brings people together so it must be enjoyed. Finding that balance is what it is all about!

As much as I love Crossfit, I also think it is important to step outside the box (literally) and test your fitness which is why I also enjoy yoga, running the occasional 5k and 10k, completing at least one obstacle race/mud run a year and doing anything adventurous (an annual skydive is a must!) I have also completed a half marathon (yes, I ran the whole time which was a small miracle). Without proper nutrition, none of this would be possible. Through my own personal journey, I have learned how to use food as fuel while still enjoying life and this is what I am excited to share. Whether you are trying to improve as an athlete or just improve your everyday life, let’s work together to make it happen!

BS in Human & Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University

MS in Health Sciences with a conncentration in Nutrition & Dietetics from Georgia State University

MS in Health Sciences with a TP

Hello! My name is Todd Reinkemeyer, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. My entry into the nutrition world was a personal one that started shortly after finishing my Bachelor’s degree. One day that summer I was walking up a flight of stairs and it hit me, “Wow. This is way more difficult than it should be.” From that point forward, I made a conscious decision to invest in my health. I did a lot of introspection on my personal nutrition and initiated many new exercise habits, such including a regular resistance training and running regimen. A few years later, and the fruits of my labor had transformed into several completed marathons, mountain summits, and an overall much more positive outlook on my personal health.

From there, I realized that I needed to share this experience with others. I went back to school and attained my Master’s degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in nutrition from Georgia State University. I have counseled in a variety of different nutrition environments, completing over 1200 supervised practice hours in clinical, food service, community, and sports settings. My passions lie where nutrition meets performance. I’ve seen how nutrition has personally impacted my ability to perform in a variety of endeavors, and I want to help you see this impact as well!

Outside of nutrition, I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, golf, racquetball, Braves baseball, and many other things in this adventure we call life.

Jennifer DeSabio

Masters of Science in Applied Nutrition

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

Aloha! I’m Jenn DeSabio – devoted mother to a spirited preschooler and wife to a hard-working Soldier. I hold a BA in Journalism, which allowed me to work as a Journalist for the Army for six years. Although I loved writing I felt like I was put on this earth to do more. Since I’ve always considered myself a healthy-conscious individual I decided to switch gears and focus my life on health and wellness so I could share my passion with others in hopes of helping them become healthier individuals. I hold an MS in Applied Nutrition -with a focus in Obesity and Eating Disorders- from Canisius College, and I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. I worked as a CrossFit trainer for the past year, helping individuals from 13 to 60+ to become better versions of themselves through fitness and performance nutrition coaching. I am a believer in being a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to fitness and enjoy resistance training, running, cycling, yoga and long walks with my dogs. I believe food is something that should be enjoyed and it doesn’t have to be unhealthy for it to satisfy your taste buds. I also understand that food is fuel and fueling your body the right way will yield the best results. But, how do you get there?  Learning to instill healthy habits is key to health. That’s where I come in – I look forward to working with you, helping to create a successful picture of total nutrition for yourself.

Aaron Hull

ETP Performance Nutrition Coach

US Army Combat Medic

Hello! My name is Aaron Hull. My story begins like so many others - I grew up as the chubby kid. Even though I played hockey all year, I was never taught the importance of good nutrition. When I graduated high school, I stopped playing and put on even more weight. After deciding traditional college wasn’t for me at the time, I joined the Army and have been serving as a combat medic for thirteen years.

During these years, I have navigated the fitness and nutrition maze.  Like many people, it took me a long time to realize I couldn’t out train a bad “diet”.  In 2016, my wife introduced me to CrossFit.  Within three months I was competing in my first competition and although I came in third, I suddenly realized that nutrition was the one thing stopping me from being the best me.  A year later I competed in the same competition and came in first.

I have been in the top 100 at Spartan Races, even completing the trifecta in one day.  I have more Tough Mudder headbands than I care to admit, and I’ve knocked out a handful of 24+ hour GORUCKs.  I’ve also run 5ks, 10ks, 10milers, half and full marathons, even a 50k.  Proper nutrition has allowed me to push harder, get stronger and recover more quickly while I sometimes training three times a day.

I love the nerdy, performance side of nutrition and my ultimate goal is to be an Army dietitian.  I can’t wait to help you find your stride in the kitchen and on the go.  Let’s work together to improve your performance, relationship with food, and find the best you!

Haley Rivera

Registered and Licensed Dietitian

B.S. Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University

RD at Lackland Air Force Base

Hi friend!  I'm Haley, a Registered Dietitian, wife to an Environmental Scientist, mother to our spunky daughter with another little girl on the way!

Between my love for food and cooking, combined with an early love for running track & field, my obsession with health and wellness blossomed at a very early age.  As time went on, I pursued a career in dietetics and received a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University - whoop!

I now have 6+ years under my belt as a Registered Dietitian, and my experience has ranged from a clinical hospital setting to working with Air Force trainees in Basic Military Training.  However, when I became pregnant with our first daughter, my eyes were opened to whole new world of nutrition.  I found a new passion for helping mothers navigate this period of pregnancy, postpartum and breastfeeding stages to ensure that not only is baby receiving adequate nutrition, but so is mom.

Aside from pregnancy/postpartum nutrition, I truly love to help all people make healthier choices - be it food, exercise or even the products they are using in their home.  I am here to help and share my knowledge in any way that I can!

Karyann Hull

ETP Performance Nutrition Coach

Hello! I’m Karyann. I’m a proud Army wife, a girl mom of 2! I have a B.A. in Communications and a minor in Advertising from Flagler College, and will be graduating from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Technical Communications and a minor in Personal Health in the fall.

My wellness journey began after giving birth to my oldest daughter in 2011. Overweight to start, I really became motivated to shed my post-baby weight + all the extra. What started with utilizing the office gym and lakeside trails during lunch simply to lose weight, quickly became a healthy addiction to setting bigger goals and living a healthier lifestyle overall. My new-found passion led me to completing my first 5k, which quickly evolved into a handful more, then progressing into many OCR races and other endurance-type adventure events. Amidst all of that, I became a certified group and personal trainer and did one-on-one coaching and taught small group bootcamp and Aqua Aerobics for two years.

In January 2016, just after my husband and I got married, I made the switch from a traditional gym setting to CrossFit. Soon after, it occurred me even more just how important nutrition plays in performance capabilities - regardless if you’re a recreational gym-goer or competitive athlete. I found a new passion in nutritional sciences. After the birth of my second daughter in 2016 and PCSing down to Fort Benning, I joined CrossFit CSG and was introduced to BTS Nutrition. I participated in 4 Nutrition Challenges and, after having many people seeing my results and messaging me with “What are you doing?!” questions, I realized I needed/wanted to get back into the wellness field, get my nutrition certification, and be available to help those in the way BTS had helped me!

I’m most passionate about working with those who are just starting out in their journey to become more healthy. If you’re struggling to understand the importance of nutrition or need a friend to hold you more accountable to your goals, reach out - I would love to help!

I received a MS in Sport and Fitness as well as a MBA. After working with collegiate athletes, I have had the pleasure of exploring fitness opportunities such as becoming a physical education teacher, an athletic director, fitness director, wellness coordinator and personal trainer. This motivated me to receive my exercise physiologist certification with the ACSM and my fitness nutrition specialist with the NASM. I find nutrition fascinating and hope to pursue a Masters in nutrition.
My experiences have led me to believe that we all need to build a healthy relationship with food. I would love to help you find a balance with food that meets  your health and performance goals!

 Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology

NASM Certified Nutrition Specialist

Hello! I am a wife and mother of two sweet girls and have been a fitness and nutrition enthusiast for most of my adult life. My husband and I met in Seattle, and in 2011 the Army relocated us to Ft. Benning. I have a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and practice part-time in the school district working with children on the Autism Spectrum. Although I struggled with weight growing up, in college I began to gain an interest in health and wellness; then, in 2011, my husband and I got serious about nutrition when we began a clean-eating lifestyle. Since having my daughters, maintaining a balanced fitness regimen as well as setting a good example for them has been very important to me. I enjoy yoga, running half marathons, strength training and high intensity workouts.  A few years ago, my family and I adopted a vegan lifestyle. Although we loved the change in how we felt, it wasn't until I began my first challenge with Breakthrough Strength, and learned about counting macronutrients, that it all just seemed to click! I became a certified Nutrition Specialist because I want to help others learn how to properly fuel their bodies and implement healthy habits through a practical, sustainable lifestyle that allows them to enjoy food and achieve their goals!
